PCA9546A: About Thermal PAD connection

Hi,

I cannot find the info in the datasheet.
Can you confirm that for the PCA9546 in QFN package the thermal pad must be connected to the ground plane?
Could you tell me recommended connection method?

    Hey Tsukui-san,

    The thermal pad does not necessarily "have" to be connected to the ground plane but by connecting it to the ground plane you help the part disperse its heat better. The ground plane is usually large and typically fills the entire board so this helps with heat dissipation. I would recommend you connect it to the ground plane.
