Hi,

My customer is worrying about current limit value.

The load(mobile battery) of their system requires 2.1A(max).

So they must select 3.4A(typ) to current limit value of TPS25810.

However we consider that current limit value is too large than actual maxim current.

Do you thiink that this current limit setting is appropriate?

Or should they locate another current limit power SW?

Hi,
TPS25810 is design for C port application, the current limit level is 1.7 or 3.4A , if you want to limit below 3.4A add an external power swtich is recommend .

My customer is worrying if they should locate another power SW.
What do you think that which is better locating or not?

Hi Kuramochi-san,
Why you need to limit the current under 3.4A ? Does the DC/DC before the tps25810 can't supply this bigger current to the load( battery )?
If it can supply 3.4A , I think it no need to do any current limit feature.
