DS90UB913A-Q1: operation mode reference

Hi Masters,

I  have a question, might you please help.

a case :  Sensor -> UB913 -> UB964

I know that the Deserializer will automatically configure the Serializer to correct mode via the backchannel.

For UB913 Register 0x05 bit 5 (MODE_OVERRIDE) is set as 0 -> Does not override MODE select bits ,

what does this mean please?  

                                       (a.) UB913 internal decide the mode selection  

                                       or

                                      (b.) UB913 refer to the  UB964's  mode pin hw configuration and will not override by UB964's register 0x6D bit[1:0] FPD3_MODE

                                      or

                                      (c.) other answer
