Does the DS100DF410 Retimer pass the preamble of the Ethernet packet + gap time of 12-bytes ? we are seeing 20 additional bytes for each Ethernet packet sent thru the Retimer at 10G Ethernet rate; using IXIA to generate packets.

As long as the DS100DF410 retimer is locked, it will pass the incoming data on a bit-by-bit basis. During any period in which the DS100DF410 is acquiring "lock" the output will be muted.
