my customer wants to evaluate our DP83822EVM.
Do we have a recommended MAC controller EVM for a quick test setup?

Hi FRAMziskus,

We do not have a recommended MAC controller but any MAC that supports MII/RMII/RGMII should work with DP83822. We also have USB2MDIO software tool (www.ti.com/.../USB-2-MDIO) which allows users to control internal registers on the DP83822.

If we don't have a specific recommendation, is there any recommendation we can give at all? :)
My customers goal is to evaluate the PHY as easy as possible without much setup on the controller side.

Hi FRAMziskus,

We have reference designs for DP83822. Reference designs are not available for purchase but all their collateral is on the web (user's guide, design files, test results etc). Customer can review them and create their own evaluation prototype.

For preliminary analysis, DP83822EVM would be a good starting point. They can use the MSP430 launch pad and our USB2MDIO software to configure the EVM.
