SN65DSI83: MIPI DSI to YUV (RGB) Bridge Solution

To give you more information about the application, the DSP used by the customer supports MIPI; however, the display format of the LCD is RGB888.

Therefore, my customer would like to know if SN65DSI83 is the right part for them.

Customer provided the following information: 720x480 x RGB  x 30 fps = 31.1M

Is that what you need?

If not, could you tell me what are the key parameters that I should look at to determine if this is the right part?

Is there any guideline on choosing this kind of device?

I found that you suggested a dual-chip solution, SN65DSI83 and the SN65LVDS82, for the MIPI-DSI to RGB parallel interface bridge.

My customer's application is also MIPI to RGB888. Do you think this is suitable for this request also?

Seems like we'll need to go for the dual-chip solution of SN65DSI83 and SN65LVDS822.

Hello Roy,

I suggest first taking a look at the output formats supported by the DSI83. 

The LVDS822 is only a deserializer so you can use the figure below to figure out how the serial data is mapped to the output pins.
