SN65DP141: VOD: 1200mVpp and 600mVpp meaning?

Hi Team:

I thought DP141 is a linear redriver,  VOD 1200mV means as long as input is considered a 'high', output will be 1200mV and a 'low' will result a output of 600mV?

If that is correct, then what is a linear redriver meant? I cannot understand, plz educate me, thanks.
