TPS65982: ”Never Sink if Externally Powered” bit in Control Configuration register

Hi Team,

Could you tell me what happens if ”Never Sink if Externally Powered” bit is asserted in Control Configuration register( 0x29, Bit 30)?

There is no explanation in Host interface guide about the function.

Hi Onawa-san,

If the ”Never Sink if Externally Powered” bit is asserted in Control Configuration register the TPS65982 will not close any power paths as a sink if it is powered from VIN_3V3. If VBUS is the only source of power (dead battery boot), only then will the TPS65982 close a power path as a sink.
