XIO2001: CLKOUT6 routed to CLK with 50ohm

Hi,

In the datasheet, CLKOUT6 is suggested to route to CLK with 50ohm resistor. Can I replace the 50ohm resistor with 50ohm trace?

Hello YY,

Theoretically it should work but we never have tested this scenario, so we certainly better recommend you to use the 50 ohm resistor.

Hi YY,

You need a 50ohm resistance plus the trace, please note the PCB trace of this connection should be slyghtly longer than the longest CLKOUTx PCB trace.
