how determine lane impedance

Hello TI Experts,

I have general question about high speed interface. In some parts trace impedance doesn't declare in its documents like datasheet. for example for HDMI protection devices TPD12S016 it doesn't tell anything about traces impedance but I read related documents in the web and I found HDMI is 100 ohm differential. could you please tell me how I can find these type of data?

It will cover everything from low bandwidth RLC measurements all they way up to multiple GHz rf measurements such as those for HDMI.

Hi Siyavash,

Most high speed interfaces utilize 100 Ohm differential impedance as a nominal target specification. I would suggest you look into the electrical specifications of the interface in question. One notable exception to the 100 Ohm impedance is PCI Express, this specification utilizes 85 Ohm impedance targets to better align the PCB impedance with the connector impedance.
