DS90UB954-Q1: Is there any initial register settings need to be set during profile loading on the platform with DS90UB954 and DS90UB953

Hi,

We have DS90UB954 on our development board and with an FPD-LINK to DS90UB953 board. The revision id of DS90UB953 can not be read from the i2c bus of development board. We have evaluated the DS90UB954/953 EVM and environment can work well with the ALP. We are wondering if any initial register settings will be set during loading 954 profile while launching ALP. The 954 and 953 profile used in ALP are got from TI. If there are initial register settings being set in loading profile,we need to set these settings on our development board.

No, we don't have the initial code as you think.
please check the ID address in your board, and power supply voltage/pulledup resistor in your board.

Hi Steven,

Now our testing envrionment is

[i] TI 954 EVM ~FPD~ our 953 board ==> revision id of 953 can not be read by 954 EVM through FPD to 953,but can hard-wired (i2c) driectly read revision id of our 953 board.

Already excluded the software setting,could you give us suggestion on inspecting the design of 953 board?

is it the ub953 circuit layout issue in your board? is it closed?
if not, please double confirm whether you had configure the I2C pass through in UB954 if you want to remote access to UB953. thanks.

Steven,

This case is closed. The problem is the trace from DOUT+/- to FPD connector. We soldered the FPD cable directly to DOUT+/- (skip trace),the id of USB953 can be remote accessed. The related settings are followed UB954 datasheet in chapter 7.5.3. thanks.
