TPS65981: MRESET and RESETZ pin behaviour

Part Number: TPS65981

Hi,

We have our make TPS65981 boards. We tied the MRESET pin to ground through 1MOhm as we're not using it in the application. With this state, the RESETZ pin state should be high always as mentioned in datasheet.

However, we observed the RESETZ pin state always logic LOW. During power-up, it is HIGH for few ns. Could you elaborate why the RESETZ pin state is not HIGH always?

Got to know that the MRESET pin active state can be configured in application code. We have used standard TI project template for flashing our application profile. Below I have attached the working project file FYR. TIIU_MMB1 TPS65981 HD3SS460 UFP Only 20171129.pjt

  • Hi Manikandan,

It seems that you were using one of our "Basic" templates, the configuration options for the RESETZ are hidden for that template and are set to the behavior you described above. I have imported your settings into an "Advanced" template and adjusted the RESETZ behavior accordingly. Please check to see if all the configurations are as you would expect before testing on your board:

    Thank you,
