DP83848I: RX_CLK in RMII mode

Hello,

We are using the DP83848IVVX variant of this phy in our application.

We are selecting RMII operating mode by pulling SNI_MODE (pin6) 'low' and MII_MODE (pin 39) 'high' with 10K resistors. In this case, I would expect the 25MHz RX_CLK on pin 38 to be disabled. However, this clock output is still running. Is it possible to disable it somehow?

Hello Radu,

The datasheet recommends using 2.2kohm resistors for strap. 10kohm would be weaker pull that the device requires. Please replace the 10k pull with 2.2kohm resistors and re-test.

Hello Aniruddha,

Thank you for your quick answer. I just tested this morning, but unfortunately the 25MHz RX_CLK is still active even with 2.2KOhm pull resistors on the configuration pins. Something else I should try?
