Hi Team

I have use DP159 on system and function is work. Pin EQ_SEL NC will be setting to adaptive EQ.

I have 2 question for Auto EQ

1 : what is based on auto adjustments for Auto EQ ? ex : input HDMI1.4 or HDMI2.0 ?

2 : If my system pass HDMI2.0 test , have possibility test fail on HDMI1.4 ?

Each input data channel contains an adaptive or fixed equalizer to compensate for cable or board losses. The SNx5DP159 device operates in adaptive equalizer mode when EQ_SEL/A0 left floating. Using adaptive equalization the gain will be automatically adjusted based on the data rate to compensate for variable trace or cable loss. This device is able to work with DP++ or AC-coupled TMDS (this device is not recommended for HDMI in the input).

Yes , I know EQ_SEL pin NC can setting to adaptive EQ.

but I want know

As I said in the last answer, this device is not designed to handle HDMI signals in the inputs, This device is able to work with DP++ or AC-coupled TMDS

Hello Kerr

When you said Auto EQ, you mean adaptive equalizer mode?
You have a very small probability to fail in 1.4 if the 2 is working well.
