SN75452B: Is this part obsolete or has approached end of life

Part Number: SN75452B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL7407LA, , ULN2003A

Hi there,

Can you please update me if the part number SN75452BD is discontinued or has approached end of life. As I have heard from suppliers like RS & Farnell that they no longer stock this part.

Best regards,

Dhaivat

  • Hi Dhaivat,

Currently there are no plans to discontinue the part. What type of application are you using the SN75452BD in?

The device is an older TI part. We are trying to move customers towards newer solutions such as the TPL7407LA.

    Thanks,

    Arthur Huang

  • Hi Huang,

We have used this on our legacy boards to drive relays (Inductive load). I can see your new IC is very attractive.

Is there a pin to pin compatible part to SN75452BD that can operate up to 85 degree C. I can see SN75452BD can only operate till 70 degree C.

    Many thanks

    Best regards,
    Dhaivat
  • Hi Dhaivat,

Unfortunately, we've moved towards different packages for our newer devices. Besides the TPL7407LA, we have the ULN2003A which supports from -40 degrees C to 125 degrees C. It has the same SOIC package as the SN75452B, but it supports up to 7 channels instead.

    Thanks,
    Arthur Huang
