UCC21520: Floating Half-Bridge decoupling capacitor (Bootstrap)?

Hello TI,

should i float the decoupling capacitor for the VDDA to the half-bridge or should i ground it to device ground?

The decoupling capacitors are marked in red circle. The 1µF capacitors are for bootstrap.

Hello Natthapol,

I am an applications engineer that supports UCC21520, I can help to answer your question. If a separate bootstrap and decoupling capacitor are used, both should be connected to VDDA/VSSA, and VSSA should be connected to the switch node of the half-bridge. Your schematic is drawn correctly, do not decouple any pin on the floating channel to PGND.
