I don't mean to hijack your question Kai, but you may want to see if this pertains to you as well.
I am looking to do the same as you (drive two displays) with two LCD panels that require all three control signals - DE, VS and HS. But, the DS90C387A only provides DE, HS, VS on output A2. The corresponding bits for the second display (on output A6) are DE, RESERVED and RESERVED and the DS90C387A data sheet does not define what those reserved bits are. It does however state that for backward compatibility with the FPD-Link, those bits should be left open. So, I don't think I can use the '387A for my application.
I don’t need the longer cable drive of DS90C387 (non-A suffix), but that part might work for me if I can parallel VS and HS inputs to B26 and B27 so that VS and HS are shifted into place on the second ‘channel’ output A6 (i.e. channel A6 on the '387 part includes DE, B26 and B27). Will this work?
Thanks
Frank
