If the device is USB2.0 only and connects to a USB3.0 port, it will only operate in USB2.0.

Hello Lilian,

If the device is USB3.0 and it is connected to a USB3.0 capable port, it is required to operate at SS (USB 3.0) as per the USB specification.

If only USB HS functionality is desired, then you could either use a USB 2.0 hub (TUSB4041) or connect only the HS differential pair (DP/DM) on the upstream port.
