Hi,

pls confirm that also for UH949A version  ,HDCP block is v1.4 and then license should be applied for this.

Let me also know if it is required any HDMI license to buy this device.

Last, can HDCP block be disabled(and not used)?In this case is it required any HDCP qualification for the system?

    Hi Umberto,

    yes there is HDCP v1.4 and yes they need license for that.
    I think they need to pay for licensing HDMI, but please confirm with Thomas Seboe.

    If they do not have HDCP license, TI will not be able to sell this product to them. The UB949A part is on the road map and will be developed soon, so they can wait and buy that. For testing purposes they can use the UB949.
