TPS2553: Available for Orring?

Part Number: TPS2553

Hi

My Customer has question.

Customers want to use the following specifications
VIN 1: 5.0 V
VIN 2: 3.3 V
※ Use exclusively by using the EN terminal. Please watch the attached file.

TPS2553.pdf

■Switching from 5 V to 3.3 V
In my opinion, if EN = OFF,
I do not think that there is no problem because it does not reverse flow.

■Switching 3.3 V to 5.0 V
In my opinion, reverse flow protection works at switching timing, and
I think there is a possibility that the device will shutdown.

Is this idea correct?

  • Hi Kishi-san,

    1) If input change from 5V to 3.3V the output will higher than input , the current will reversly througn from out to in . (It will any risk for 3.3V input rail ?) It maybe not touch the RCP protection since the neccessary condition is Vout >Vin more than 135mV and timing should longer than 4mS.

    2) If input change from 3.3V to 5V , there will be not any issue in the application .
