TMDS171: SPDIF IN pull down resistor

Hello,

Our customer use the TMDS171.

The customer do not use ARC system.

It is mentioned connecting a 500kohm resistor to GND at SPDIF IN on the datasheet.

Is it possible to use a 470kohm or 510kohm resistor?

Hello Naoki

We recommend using 500k because with this value the power supplies current is reduced more than 20 mA. If you have a different value, this current level will change. I recommend you to use 500k.

If the customer don't care about current consumption,
is it possible to use any value for pull down resistor?
A 500kohm resistor is not available at E12 or E24 series.

If that is the case, you can use a close resistor value.
