Could you tell me why the eye is not centered around zero ? and what is the optimal VEO and HEO values for 10G Ethernet using the retimer ?

    Hi Kevin,

    Normally the eye is centered at 0 mV. I am wondering if what may be going on is that the GUI's Eye Monitor has entered a strange display state. I have seen this occur once in a while and the issue did not occur after restarting SigCon Architect.

    A typical good retimer HEO/VEO is at least 0.5 UI HEO and more than 200 mV VEO. However, it is possible for the eye opening after the CTLE to be less than this and still produce an error-free output. You may wish to experiment with different CTLE values to determine whether the eye can be improved with further tuning of the input EQ.
