HD3SS3220: Polarity change in differential pairs

Hi,

I am thinkingin changing the polarity of USB3.0 differential pair in order to have a proper impedance control over the USB3.0 TX and RX pairs.

In the datasheet of the IC I see that the polarity of the differential pairs can be changed. I guess that in a USB C to USB C connection the differential pair polarity can be changed, but If I change the differential pair polarity, may it cause a problem when pluging a USBC to USBA cable?

Hi Juanjo,

There is not issues. Type C is an extension of USB3.x specification, hence if a USBC is connected to USBA cable the detection is performed although the differential pair polarity was done.
