TPS65983B: How to implement virtual HPD on TPS65983B FW?

A new release of the TP65983 GUI -- version 3.13 -- is currently being validated by Intel. This has separate templates (i.e. starting files/settings) for physical HPD and virtual HPD which will be selectable on platforms supporting virtual HPD (such as Tapex Creek and Tahini Creek) via a new project wizard question.

We are expecting this GUI version to complete Intel's validation and be available on TI's mySecureSoftware distribution site within 1-2 weeks. Since Intel is validating the virtual HPD templates in addition to physical HPD templates on the various reference designs supported, I would expect your customer to have no issue applying one of these virtual HPD templates so long as they have followed the corresponding Intel reference design that it is validated against.

In order to get access to TPS65983 GUI version 3.13, users can go to the TPS65983b product folder and click the "request" link to request access to the mySecure folder.
