TLK105: Pulse polar direction issue

Part Number: TLK105
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLK110

Team,

Our customer is working on 10base-T compliance test with TLK105, however in the test, pulse polar direction is in negative and then the test cannot be complete.

The customer says TI recommendation circuit should be used like an attached Sch..

Could you please confirm customer's Sch. and this phenomenon ?

Thanks and Regards,

  • Hi Kenji-san,

Yes, the TLK110 pulse is inverted by default. This does not affect operation of the PHY, and is corrected by the auto-polarity detection mechanism when connected to a PHY. Can the customer change the polarity of the differential probe during the test?

    Best Regards,
