TPS25810: schematic review

Part Number: TPS25810

Hi Sirs,

As title, we finished 25810 schematic (U188).

20180116_TypeC.output.pdf

Our Type C connector only had USB2.0 function and CC pin.

Could you help double confirm our schematic again?

Thanks!!

  • Hi Shu-Cheng,

The schematic looks good. I would change C2462 to 6.8uF. The maximum capacitance on VBUS when a sink is attached is 10uF so we want to stay under that.

For testing purposes you may want to add a pull-up resistor on the fault pin just to know if the TPS25810 is faulting or not.

This port will always advertise 3A, is that ok?

    Regards,
    Donovan
  • Hi Sirs,

Because we don't have 6.8uF internal, the 4.7u will too small??

For testing purposes you may want to add a pull-up resistor on the fault pin just to know if the TPS25810 is faulting or not.

Is it OK if we only reserved 4.7k resistor?? or really need put on this resistor to the board??

  • Hi Shu-Cheng,

    4.7uF should be ok.

You do not have to put the pull-up resistor on the board if space is limited but it may be helpful when testing the board.
