TUSB320LAI: CC Line Capacitance

Part Number: TUSB320LAI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD2S300

I have a design using a TUSB320LAI where I am using a TPD2S300 to protect the CC lines. I am now trying to choose the appropriate Capacitance values for the CC lines between the 2 chips. However  I still have not been given a clear value for the TUSB320LAI capacitance !

I have been recommended that I use a trial and error method when I get into testing the device to get the best capacitor values.

I was told that if the total capacitance on the CC channels is outside the range of 200pF -600pF, then the PD communication between both PD controllers might not occur (too much cap might cause too long of a delay). If I use this communication between my device and the Host that I am connecting to as an indication of the correct value for my capacitors, I think that this will be quite difficult and the testing will complex due to changing conditions (different Hosts, Temperature factors etc) - Any further suggestions ?

How would I measure the capacitance of the CC lines to help define whether I have chosen the correct capacitor ?
