SN65LVDS32: absolute maximum rating

We have been using the SN65LVDS32D and are considering this device for other new product design
In our current new design we have 36 chips of SN65LVDS32D connected in parallel to VCC (pin 16)
and operating at -0.7Volt consuming maximum current of 15 mA for duration of 6 hour.
While the absolute maximum rating of the VCC pin as specified in datasheet is -0.5Volt.
Assuming this is a small violation so the voltage deviation can be tolerated as this voltage is applied
for limited current as low as 15mA.
Can we ask to have your reference ? Having Texas Instruments confirmation we may proceed using them
in our new product design

Hi Abraham,

Is the -0.7V connection for 6 hours normal?

Is the 15mA current limit in place for each device or for all 36 devices together?

A : Yes…6 hours is normal duration
Q2: Is the 15mA current limit in place for each device or for all 36 devices together?
A: The 15mamp is for all 36 devices

Hi Abraham,

Sorry for the delay in responding. As you said the -0.7V applied to Vcc does violate the AbsMax. Even though it is violating it by a small amount, we really can't guarantee that there will not be any negative consequences including long term reliability issues or damage to the devices.
