TUSB211: reference schematic

Part Number: TUSB211

Hi Team,

My customer is designing with TUSB211 and has the following question. They would like to know why D1P should be shortened to D2P and D1M should be shortened to D2M? Application note have the same design guideline and customer would like to know what is the reason behind. Thanks for your answering.

  • Hello yen,

The device compensates the signal by injecting current, this increases the slew rate which improves the HS eye. Since USB2 is a half-duplex channel, the device must be able to compensate the signal in both directions and the shorting the signals improves the current injection and makes its performance solid and transparent independently of the signal's direction.

    Regards,
    Diego.
