I have post a similar thread last year. But for some reason, i'am not notify the answer. Now the post is locked，so i have to post a new thread. The thread 's link is :

i want to konw When the TOF1 is outside of 2 lines of the expected location, can i control the aliged mode : drift or crash?

Hi,

You can use either drift of crash outside of 2 lines. The tradeoff is crash lock is faster but may trigger output phase disturbances, whereas driftlock is slower but will transition smoother. Hope this helps answer your question!

Hi Brian

thank you very much for your help.

i want to make sure is the aligned mode also decided by the register seting of 0x11 ,bit 3:2 when outside of 2 lines.

I think the datasheet is not so clear and may make the reader confused.
