[ DS90UB927 & DS90UB928 ] Two Capacitors for CAPL12

Hi,

My customer has noticed that their board has only one 4.7uF for CAPL12 pin while datasheet suggest to have two.
Does this cause any of potential failures?

Also, if different values such as smaller or larger caps than 4.7uF are used, what kind of issue can be occurred?

Hi Ken,

The cap are required to suppress potential noise on the voltage line.

It may degrade link performance if they only have one cap there.

For this specific pin "CAPL12", it's required to have two 4.7uF in parallel. Any specific reason?

Hi Ken,
There's no specific reason to have two cap in parallel. It is easier to source 4.7uF cap and put them in parallel.
If they can meet the same capacitance with one cap, it should be ok.
