TPS65983B: TPS65983B issue

Dear Sir:

               We tried to verify TPS65983B on TPS65983 PCB and GUI is "Application Customization 3_07" and we follow TPS65983B spec to setup code. Billboard function is OK , but we just find device of TPS65983 in PC as below picture , Does TI have new version GUI for TPS65983B? or Do you have any suggest to us?

    Hi Jason,

    Welcome to E2E! The TPS65983/B are only used for thunderbolt reference designs by Intel. If you're not building a thunderbolt system, then the TPS65983/B is NOT recommended. I would recommend the TPS65981.

    Also, on the product page of the TPS65983B, there's a link to gain access to the secure site. The site has the most updated version of the GUI. But again, if you're not building a thunderbolt system, then the TPS65983/B should be replaced with a different PD controller such as the TPS65981.
