DS90UB964-Q1: CSI_CTL & CSI_CTL2 Registers

Part Number: DS90UB964-Q1

[ DS90UB964-Q1 ] CSI_CTL & CSI_CTL2 Registers

Hi,

Can you please elaborate "CSI continuous clock mode" and "CSI Skew-Calibration"?
These are not much described in the datasheet.

It's appreciated if you can help me to understand these.

Regards,
Ken

  • Hi Ken,

Basically, CSI continuous clock mode means that the clock lane always remains in high-speed mode whereas in non-continuous clock mode the CSI clock enters a low power (LP-11) state between data transmission.

The skew-calibration refers to a pattern sent by CSI transmitters to deskew the CSI lanes. Different systems may require or want this pattern to be sent more or less often, etc. and the register controls are included to align to these system needs.

You may find the MIPI CSI-2 specification a useful reference for more details on these functions.

    Regards,
    Zoe
  • Hi Zoe,

    Your feedback is helpful!
I will try to get the latest specification from MIPI, because it's not opened publically.

    Thanks,
    Ken
