DS90UB949-Q1EVM: Output problem when attached to SN65LVCP40

Part Number: DS90UB949-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVCP40,

Hi,

we have developed an LVDS multiplexer board using SN65LVCP40 e DS25CP104 devices. There are 3 inputs and one output. The multiplexing paths is tested and working but we have a problem when we use DS90UB949-Q1EVM board as a LVDS dual-channel source. We attached the LVDS output cable of the EVM to our board (the pin-out is checked and ok). By using the software we setup a pattern generation for the EVM. We noticed that no signal is present at the LVDS output connector of the EVM board and that the registered 0x0C  (General Status) report a "Cable link not detected".

When we attached to a deserializer board with DS90UB948 device all its working and the cable is detected without problem.

So, it is possible to configure the DS90UB949-Q1EVM for generate an LVDS dual-link signal even if no adequate de-serializer is present ?
