Dear Team,

I need guidance for a redesign.

Requirements for an application changed and the ambient temperature profile shows a minimum Ta = -40degC

Question:

- Can SN75LVCP601RTJR be used down to -40degC?

- What changes in terms of electrical characteristics?

- Can we provide data for operation at -40degC?

I am aware of other Redrivers that support extended temperature range but for this application changing the part is not preferred.

Hi Kathrina,

This device is designed and characterized for a minimum temperature of 0C. For a full industrial temperature range part, I would recommend the DS64BR111.

Thanks a lot for your response.
Using a different part is unfortunately not an option. Can you let me know what does and doesn't work below 0°. Is it still functional but out of spec or can we give any guidance what will be the impact?

Kathrina,

I do not see any major issues as the temperature decreases below 0C. I can't verify the same performance on all devices - operating below 0C is outside the datasheet specification.
