DS90UR910-Q1: 24 bit parallel RGB to CSI-2

I used the timing diagrams from camera link base for frame and line. We was able to see the CSI-2 clock output from the 910 along with the data that I send it in RGB only when DE=1 all the time.

I sent all 0s and then all 1s for RGB and saw the Data0 and Data1 lanes 0 and 1, respectively. I then made R,G, and B 11110000 and saw the corresponding data on the scope in both data lanes. I also changed the data to 10101010 alternating and saw that too. So I believe that both the 905 and 910 are working correctly.

I was able to see the data lanes showing a pulse like in Figure 4 of the 910 datasheet. The one confusing area is that I did all of this with setting DE to 1 constant. When I set it to what the timing diagram of the camera link, I was not able to see anything on the CSI outputs. Is there an exact timing diagram for HS, VS and DE you have that we can use?

We are currently using 640x480. I tried finding a timing diagram for DE according to VESA standards, but couldn’t find anything. Do you know what the timing for DE should be?

Is there a TI timing diagram paper for 24-bit parallel RGB for all of these signals? We are using spartan 6 FPGA, so we can create the signals in any way.

I will check our video generator manual, it has standard VESA timing. I should have the timing to you by 2/16 COB
