Dear Sir:

There are some issue for TPS65982 as below:

1.What kind of judgment does CC communication of TPS65982? current or voltage?

2.If CC communication used voltage to judgment , How many range for that? For example :USB-C 3A-port can't under 0.85V.

3.Different F/W will have different voltage range for CC judgment , right?

Hi Jason,

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but PD communication uses BMC (Biphase Mark Coding) over the CC lines. The voltages are set by the PD controller (Rp and Rd resistors) for current and voltage negation, flipability, attach/detach, etc.

A type-C or PD controller handles all of the communication over the CC lines. Please refer to the Type-C specs and/or PD specs at http://www.usb.org/developers/docs/
