DS64BR111: Connectivity Issue

Part Number: DS64BR111

We are Using DSR64BR111 ( Ultra Low Power 6.4 Gbps 2-Channel Repeater with Input Equalization and Output De-Emphasis ) as SATA Redriver in 3.3V operating Mode in our Design.

Interfaced between COMe and SATA CFAST Memory from one 3U VPX board to another through backplane, we are unable to get the proper connectivity from COMe to CFAST Memory.

When we Power On system COMe in BIOS Mode only once it detects the device, if we do software restart next time in BIOS mode we couldn’t able to find the connectivity of CFST Memory

  • Hi,

I am not sure of the reason.  In most cases with SATA, failure to communicate is related to distortion in the OOB signaling used to configure a SATA system.

What settings are being used on the DS64BR111 and how are you configuring the device?

    Regards,

    Lee
