According to our and customer's confirmation, when we set both this setting and add 0x03[1] (DE RGB GATE), we could not observe data output from OLDI.

If one of above two bit change to "0", we can observe data output from OLDI. So, it seems this function works.

Q1. Could you please perform double-check whether this function actually does not work ?

Q2. If this function does not work correctly, could you please remove this bitfield ?

Hi Machida-san,
I will setup the UH947 with the UH948 on EVMs this week and check if the 28B works correctly.
Since these are serialized LVDS signals, the simplest method I can think of to test them quickly is to use LVCMOS to LVDS and LVDS to LVCMOS adapters.
I plan to have this completed by 3/2 COB.
If this does not work I will have it removed from the datasheet.

Hi Machida-san,

I tried on 947EVM to 948EVM and 28B does not work. I configured single and dual link and throughput does not change. I will enter into our datasheet updates to remove this description.

Do you mean even though you set Add 0x1A[1] of DS90Ux947 to 1, then you can not observe difference of throughput ?

Hello Machida-san,
Yes, on the 947 side, I wrote 0x1A[1]=1 to enable 28B on the serializer side and on the 948 side, I wrote 0x28[1]=1 to enable 28B aon the deserialier side and every combination of 0x1A[1], 0x28[1] i.e. 00, 01, 10, 11. I dd not see any difference on throughput of HS or VS or DE.
