The recommended VDD5(ramp) VDD5 supply ramp time from what point is this measured and what potentially could hapenn if this recommendation is not met ?

Hi Shmuel,

The HD3SS3220 has built-in a HD3SS3212 (MUX) and a TUSB322I (CC port controller). Basically, VDD5 provides power to the TUSB322I, on the other hand, VCC33 provides power to the MUX.
The VDD5 supply ramp time means the rise time (10-90%). Hence, if this parameter is not met, the port controller couldn't work properly or even could be re-initialized.

Dear Luis,

So is it true that this VDD5 rise time of 25mS is only dependant on when the VDD5 starts to rise and has no relationship to when the VCC33 powers up nor when the Type C USB signals are connected to the HD3SS3220 ?

The VDD5 power supply is independent from VCC33.
