TUSB4020BI: Downstream serial connection

Part Number: TUSB4020BI

Dear Team,

My customer has now a new design on which they need to use a USB2.0 hub on the device and also on the docking station for this device. Upstream port of the hub on the docking station  will be connected to downstream port of the hub on the device. Docking station will also have Ethernet-to-USB converter connected to downsteam port of the hub on docking station.

Does this configuration requires any additional SW work, or will standard Linux/Android USB drivers will work fine?

TUSB4020B and TUSB2046 are currently in evaluation for this project.

Best regards,

Caglar

  • Hi Caglar,

USB hub drivers are standard to operating systems so no extra sw should be required. Please be aware that the TUSB2046 is an older hub that supports only USB full speed and low speed, not USB high speed. USB high speed devices connected to the TUSB2046 will default to full speed.

    Regards,
