Hi,

According to the data sheet of the TUSB4041, a resistor with 9.53kOhm, 1%, is required at the output USB_R1.

What effects does it have if the used resistance deviates slightly (maybe 10k, 9k31 or 18k||20k=9k47)?

    Hello Andreas,

    The USB_R1 resistor impacts the transmitter strength, a lower value will increase strength and a higher value will decrease strength.  A change of 100-200 ohms may not be noticeable, but changing 500 ohms would be noticeable on an eye diagram.  I would recommend using the lower values unless your TUSB4041 is placed very close to the connectors.
