Hi,

Could you tell me about DP83848I 3 to 6 pin and 30 pin termination.

1.Please tell me the reason why the pull-up resistor is required for the MDIO pin.

2."I" and "S, I, PD" are described in the explanation of the TXD 0 to 3 pins.
　Please tell me the reasons for the two types.
　In addition, the notation of "I" is a 3-pin the target. Is my understanding correct?

Hi Yusuke-san,

1. The MDIO pin requires a pull-up because it is defined by IEEE to be an open-drain(open-collector) output and needs a 1.5k pull-up resistor to operate normally.

2. TX_D0, TX_D1, TX_D2 are "I" type.
TX_D3 is an "S, I, PD" type

Hi Yusuke-san,

TX_D0, TX_D1, TX_D2 does not have internal pull resistor.

TX_D3 does have an internal pull-down resistor.
