Part Number: TUSB9261

Dear,

USB3.0 device TUSB9261 couldn't recognize SSD during debug. could you please help review the schematic attached to address the issue?

many thanks!

  • Leo,
We have two observations on your schematic :
    1. Verify that the oscilator G2 configuration on the specifications for it, so make sure that the capacitors values are correct.
    2. Verify that OTG0-D- and OTG0-D+ are connected directly (no capacitors or resistors on the lines). I had not visibility of that on the pdf you attached.

One question ... what do you mean by "during debug"?
Does the device works correctly on normal operation?
  • Dear Jorge

This customer use TUSB9261 to  run USB2.0. The reference circuit in datasheet is for USB3.0, I justi wonder if we need change the  capacitors or resistors ? Customer said the chip ran up, but he can't see the 'USB device' also the SSD

  • Hello Jennyly,

The implementation of the TUSB9261 as shown on our reference EV board should work seamlessly both as SS (USB 3.0) and HS (USB 2.0) and without the need of changing the values of the outlined components.

Can you please confirm if this is the same problem reported by Leo above or if this is a different implementation?

If this is a different implementation, I would like to review the schematic to make sure everything is in place. Otherwise, can you please confirm if multiple units have been tested and are showing the same behavior? Would you mind providing a picture of the package markings on the failing TUSB9261? That would help us to identify the manufacturing site, lot number, etc.

    Thanks,
    Jorge
