Hi,

My new project is regarding designing of media converter to convert analog video signal through BNC connector to optical fiber and optical fiber to analog video signal. 

So could I use LMH1218 for conversion of analog video signal through BNC connector to optical fiber? Please suggest me better solution if you have.

What IC should be suitable for conversion of optical fiber to analog video signal?

    Hi Mukherjee,

    LMH1218 is a digital 75-ohm cable driver. This part converts 100-ohm differential signal into 75-ohm NRZ data driving 75-ohm coax.  Please take a look at LMH1218 data sheet. This device is mainly used for SDI - Serial Digital Interface - application.
