My customer is planning to use device DS100DF410 & need clarification for the following query.
The reference clock ( REFCLK_IN) pin on device DS100DF410 needs a 25MHZ oscillator. As per the reference schematics of DS100DF410 in "DS100DF410 EVK user guide" document, oscillator U4 pin 1 is driven by a microcontroller signal ENABLE_REFCLK. So, query is that if they need to drive a ENABLE signal like ENABLE_REFCLK, from our processor in our design. Or, if they permanently enable their oscillator in schematics & there will be no connection from processor to enable/disable the oscillator, will it satisfy the retimer functionality?
