TUSB9261: Flash Burner Freezes at Splash Screen

Part Number: TUSB9261

I have a new board that uses the TUSB9261. The device shows up under windows 10 64-bit in device manager, but the Flash Burner application hangs at the spash screen when I run it.  I cannot close (or force closed) the application when it hangs this way as it must be stuck in kernel space.(?)

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a knowed work around?

Greg

  • I tried to run the flash burner on an older Windows7 laptop and this worked, but is not practical as a solution moving forward.
  • Hello Greg,

We haven't experienced this issue before nor we got reports from other people having a similar experience.

The TUSB926x FlashBurner GUI requires Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.5 to function; although Windows 10 comes with Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.6 installed by default, it is sometimes not enabled.

Can you please confirm if you have that version of the .NET framework installed and enabled on your system? Is there any error message or debug log generated by Windows that might help us to identify what the problem is?
Is there any other platform with Windows 10 64-bit you can try at? (I would like to identify if there might be a particularity on that specific platform producing the failure)

Please also note that the TUSB926x FlashBurner GUI was developed solely as an aid during the development phase of your product and as an example of the device's capabilities, however its use on production or intensive use environments is discouraged.

    Regards,
    Jorge
