TPS254900-Q1: question about Device Truth Table

Part Number: TPS254900-Q1

Hi,

We plan to use independent GPIO for  Fault and Status per Front / Rear ,

but we wonder whether CTL1 / CTL2 can be used together or not.

thanks,

TS

  • Hello TS Yang,

First, we are currently out of stock on our TPS254900-Q1 EMV's. I've ordered some more for me to work on, but they won't be in until next week so all I can do until then will be looking through datasheets/user manuals. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

For the GPIO connection to the TPS25490, are you connecting the GPIO pin directly to the Fault and Status pin?

As far as using CTL1/CTL2 , I do not see why you cannot use them at the same time. The EVM does not mention anything as far as the jumper wires controlling those two pins cannot be used at the same time. Also, in order to for the device to enter CDP mode, both CTL1 and CTL2 need to be pulled high. I can verify this though when I receive the evaluation boards next week.
