DP83640: Application Questions Consult

Hi Experts,

One of my customers need to keep the clock synchronization in several Ethernet device, to ensure that all equipment of sampling value is obtained at the same time, the query of the TI DP83640 clock synchronization can be done, but there are some questions, need to consult:

1. After a preliminary look, DP83640 is the clock synchronization of physical layer. We need the application layer to synchronize with the clock when sampling, and do not know whether it is feasible or not?

2, the network data quantity of our application is not big, but many packets, sending and receiving data packets frequency is higher, can reach more than 10 k, don't know this kind of network congestion, likely clock synchronization will there be a problem?

3. Can the clock synchronize with the DP83640, without the need of another chip as the clock source?

4. Can there be similar application cases to share?

5. It is not clear that DP83640 is required for MCU, RAM, and general development cycle.
