DS90UB913A-Q1: max value of VIH (VIN) and min value of VIL (GND)

Hi Team,

VIH and VIL of electrical characteristics shows the following.

Should we consider the max value of VIH (VIN) and min value of VIL (GND) is mandatory?
I believe there could be the case that overshoot (undershoot) is occured and exceed more than VIN (less than GND) instantaneously.
note) I understood absolute maximum rating -0.3~(VDDIO+0.3)[V] should be satisfied in this case.

Hello,
yes, absolute maximum rating is the maximum for these short pulses. But for normal operation please follow GND and VIN values.

What is occured if VIH exceeds higher than VDDIO (VIL exceeds lower than GND) by overshoot?
*For example, VIH goes up to VDDIO+0.1V instantaneously by overshoot.

My customer thinks overshoot / undershoot can be occured so the electrical characteristic is stringent condition.

Yaita-san,

If the overshot or undershot is for a very short time and within the absolute maximum ratings, this should be okay and the device can work normally.
